MARCONI.VICKERS"

ISSUES

The Marconi-Vickers Joint Com mittee. which was appointed in 1926, announce that after, long negotiations terms have been agreed with the Government- of China for the resumption of the service of the Eight per Cent, 10- Year Treasury Bills of £600,000 "Marconi" Bills) and the Eight per Cent. 10-Year Treasury Notes Df £1,803.200 ("Vickers" Notes) on "a modified basis. The terus are

as follows:--

the Interest to be paid at (1) rate of 14 per cent per annum for the year commencing July 1, 1936. with annual rates increasing by per cent. yearly, up to 3 per cent. in 1942-43 and 3 per cent. there- after until the bonds are fully pald. Payments semi-annually on December 31 and June 30.

(2) Principal repayment to te gin June 30, 1941, with 1 per cent. per year for the first three years: 3 per cent, for the next four years;

21 per cent, for the next eight years: 3 per cent, for the next 11 years; and 4 per cent. for the last nine years ending with 1975. Draw- Ings to take place during March of each year beginning in 1941. The Government, to be entitled upon reasonable notice and without pre mium to increase the amount of principal retired on any payment 20 at.date.
