R.M.S. "EMPRESS OF ASIA”. The RMS. "Empress of Asia" of the Canadian Pacin: Steamships, Limited arrived here yesterday, at the 9.30 p.m., and berthed Kawloon Wharf.
She came from Canada, U.S.A. wil Japan and Shanghal, and leave here for Manila to-day al 6.00 p.m.
She also carried a large number of passengers, 300 bags of mail including Europe via Siberia and nearly 2,000 tons measurement of cargo for Hong Kong.
Letters of destination will be Past at received
the General Office up to 4.30 p.m. to-day.

S.S. "LISBON MARU” The S:8. "Lisbon Maru" of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line la expected to arrive here to-morrow, She comes from the Straits.
M.V. "CANTON"
The M.V, "Canton" of the Ltd.. Swedish East Asiatic Co.. arrives here to-day, and will berth at one of the Harbour Buoys.
She comes from Haiphong, and will again sail for Haiphong to- morrow.
Letters of destination will be received at the General Post Once up to 2.00 pm. to-morrow.

S.S. "HAKONE MARU" The S.S. "Hakone Mara" of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line is expected to arrive here to-morrow, and will berth at the Kowloon Wharf.
She comes from the Straits, and Europe via Nagapatam. and will leave here for Formosa, Shanghai, Kobe and Yokohama to-morrow.
She will also bring in to Hong Kong letters and papers from London and Europe of September 24.

The 5.8. "President Jefferson" of the Dollar Steamship Lines will arrive here to-morrow. and will berth at the Kowloon Wharf.

Freight And Asiatic Passengers Returns
(BY LONGSHOREMAN).
The freight returns, received from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday, showed a fairly high a large pro- tonnage movement, portion of which being made up by British ships.
The total tonnage, of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 6.293 tons, with British steamers carrying 4,257 tons.
Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony' amounted to
35.824 tons, of which 15,040 tons were carried by British steamers.
Asiatic deck passengers entering Into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday were 1.211, of which 1.115.were from British steamers.
