ten weeks had a gross income of more than P190,000, which is equal to earnings of approximately 85 per cent on the 2,309,607 shares' of ten centavos par value stock out- standing.

In addition to this, an examina- tion of the present holdings of the company showed a net gain over cost of approximately 250,000. The company holds a good variety of the better investment stocks.

As the company has earned over eight centavos per share during the past ten weeks, it is expected when the board of directors meet for dividend action within the next few days, the stockholders will be given a generous dividend. The company has already made application to list their shares on the International Stock. Exchange. which is expected to open the lat- ter part of this month. The stock recently has been traded in be- tween P.25 and P.20 per share,

Whatever the individual gold- hoarders in France may do when the frane is revalued, people in Britain are not selling many more of their gold possessions as the re- ault of the increase in the value of gold In France, of course, the rise will be far greater-by at least a quarter again on the old value as against.23. 111d. rise per ounce in British on Sept. 29,-and it takes some such large increase to cause a rush of people to sell gold. The big Holders of gold-the banks- are dealing heavily in gold now, but not the amall holders.

So there are no gold queues in London, nor are there likely to be. with bullion-dealer Indeed, a whom I talked did not think that there could ever again be such á "gold rush" in Britain, as there was when Britain went off gold in 1931. Then, he said, the hoardings of fifty years were sold, and he doubt- ed if there was much gold now left in private ownership. Cer- hardly any sovereigns from pri- vate individuals.. But another dea ler did, at least, say that a few more people than usual had sold gold "objects to him at present. He mentioned a typical Victorian gold bangle and an "Albert" watch chain which he had received "Manchester Guardian." London diarist.
