The fast bowling of Frank Pereira, who esptured three wic- kets for seven runs in eight overs four of which were maidens; the felding of E. R. Duckitt and a splendid partnership between Harry Owen Hughes and G. R. Sayer which realised 76 runs, were features of the cricket match play- ed on the Club' ground on Satur- day between the 1938 Interport team and an eleven comprising ex- Interparters.

CHINESE LEAD AT INTERVAL
Thousands of Chinese and foreigners packed the Soakanpoo enclosure yesterday afternoon to witness the all important First Division League football match played between South China "A" and the Royal Ulster Rifics. The Chinese team, who made their debut in the local league since their return from the Berlin Olympic Games last month, led by three goals to one at the in- terval. The second half produced some thrilling football and the final result was a draw of three goals all.
