£8,000 FOR ASCOT GOLD CUP WINNER

Coronation Year Record

The owner of the winner of the Ascot Gold Cup in the race to be ru on June 17 next year will re- ceive nearly £8,000. The total prize-money will exceed £10,000.

This is an increase of £2,250 on previous totals, and is in com- memoration of the King's Corona-

tion.

The owner of the winner will re- celye a cup valued at £500 and £5,000 in cash; the second £1.500.

and the third £750.

The winning owner will also re- ceive the whole of the sweepstakes of £100 each. Last June this sweepstake, which varies with the number of entries. amounted to

£2,300.
