BRITISH CONCERN IN FAR EAST
Information Exchanged At Washington
London, Oct. 3. Well-informed quarters réaffirm that Britain is not disinterested in the present Far Eastern crisis. Stress is laid on the importance of British Interests in China which would be affected either by a Já- -panese protectorate over the whole or part of China or by war between China and Japan.
13
British circles continue to re- gard the situation as not only very delicate but very serious. It probable that the British views have already been made known to the Chinese and Japanese Govern- ments.
It is sald that up to date over 150,000 inhabitants of the city have joined the movement. Chinese Evening Press.
