SURPRISE FEATURE OF WEEK-END FOOTBALL

Kowloon Hold South China "B" To Draw

1

PLAYER SENT OFF FIELD

IN JUNIOR LEAGUE

The outstanding feature of the week-end local League foot- "ball programme was the performance of the Kowloon Football Club who held South China 'B' to a draw at Caroline Hill on Saturday. Witnessed by a large crowd of spectators the match somewhat lost its keenness in the second half when rough play crept in..

The Hong Kong Football Club look set for annexing a mammoth goal average for against the Eastern their forwards collected no less than seven goals without reply. Last week,

the 'Club notched five against the Police. Thus in two matches they have totalled a dozen goals with a clear record against them.

The Rifles enjoyed an' easy victory over the Police at Kow- loon, while Recreio and St. Joseph's drew at King's Park. In the Army derby, the East Lancashires triumphed over the Fusiliers. Several incidents marred the second division match between the Royal Engineers and the Chinese Police resulting in one of the Chinese players being ordered off the fold after having been cautioned earlier on.

CLUB GO NAP

The Hong Kong Football Club repeated their success of last week when they trounced the Eastern

by seven goals, to nil on the home

ground on Saturday in the First Division.

For the Eastern, George Yeung (Centre-half) played a good game, both in the defence and attack. Tang" Yat Ming, in goal, had a busy time.

B. I. Bickford and Fowler ((2) scored in the first half, and Wil- son (2) Fowler and Elllott added the remain tally of goals in the second half.
