London, Oct. 1. C. W. A. Scott, vietor in the England-Melbourne air race, added the Eng:and-Johannesburg victory to his laurels. He and Guthrie landed. as Johannesburg at 1134 am. BS.T., having "covered" 6,154 mlies in the offein! time of 52 hours 46 minutes 48.12 seconds, an average of 123 miles per hour. This is over nineteen hours less than Amy Moillson's Eng and-Cape record. Thus he decides 13

While the Star Ferry launch Northern Star was journeying from Kowloon to Hong Kong about 11.10 a.m. yesterday. ä man named Chan Tok, aged about 25 years, accidentally fell or jumped into the harbour. He was unable to swim and

was rescued by a passing motorboat and taken back to the ferry. Chan was subsequently taken to hospital. A police report states that he resided at the Tai Lau Sin Boarding house.
