ROYAL MAHINE POLICE Lieutenant-Commander G. C. H. Clayton, R. N. (retired), has been appointed Chief Inspector, Royal Marine Police, in a vacancy, with effect from August 25. He has just retired at his own request after 30) years in the Navy, having enter ed Osborne us a cade; in January, 1906. During the War he served as sub-lieutenant of the destroyer Achates, and from December, 1915.. to April, 1918, as lleutenant in the battleship Valiant, which was pre- sent at Jutland.
