SCHEME Eight Millions For "Whampoa Port

Canton, Sept. 22. The construction of the railway loop Bar to Whampoa and the port development works wil be carried out simultaneously accord- ing to the decision of the Mints- try of Ralways.

These two projects have a far- reaching effect on this province ir regard to her future commerce. The total cost for these projects will be e'ght million dollars to be equally shared by the said minis try and this province.

The work will be cotamenced next month and materials will be sent here by the ministry, it is reported.
