When the Queen Mary was on the Nantucket Lightship yesterday. a seaplane chartered by a Boston newspaper fell into the sea near her: but Sir Edgar Britten said that the incident did not much affect the liner's speed: He slowed the ship down for a time until he was sure that the victims of the crash, were being picked up by a cargo steamer, and then resumed Llove Triestino. About 6,000 persons were at the Queen Mary's pler to welcome her day after having passed the night at the quarantine station. She had arrived at the Ambrose Channel Lightship at 12.33 a.m. Summer Time, and had anchored there for an hour before going on to the quarantine station.
