France. Fears International Complications

Paris, Aug. 1

The Government has decided to make an urgent appeal ɔ all the Governments particularly concerned not to interfere in Spain's affairs. Telegrams have been sent to London and Rome informing Britain and Italy of the French attitude and making suggestions for shortening the civil war and avoiding interna- tional complications which it is feared would result from the furnishing of arms to both parties,

When replies have been received to these messages it is ex- peeled that similar communications will be sent to other in- terested powers.
