WATERFRONT

Freight and Asiatic Passengers Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). Tha freight returns, received | from the Harbour Omies during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday, showed a fairly high a large pro- tonnage movement. portion of which being contri- buted by British ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the was 13,645 tons, with Colony British steamers carrying 6.342 tons.

Through cargo for port be- the Colony amounted to yond 16,168 tons, of which 9,990 tons were carried by British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday were 953, of which 929 were from British steamers.

There were altogether thirteen arrivals, of which eight were of remainder British registry, the being of other nationalties, while of the 15 departures, eight were British ships, the rest being of other different countries. Parti- culars as follows:- Nationality British
