Freight and Asiatic Passengers Returns
(BY LONGSHOREMAN)!
During the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am yesterday, the freight returns. received from the Har bour Office showed a moderate tonnage movement.
The total tonnage of genera cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 9,310 tons, with British steamers carrying 2,972 tons.
Through cargo for ports te- yond the Colony mounted to 12,248 tens. of which 9,137 tocs were carried by British steamers. Astalle deck passengers enterin into "the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am. yesterday were 1.827, of which 1,540 were from British steamers.
There were altogether fourteen arrivals, of which seven were of remainder British registry, the
being of other nationalities, while of the 17 departures, eight were British ships, the rest being of other different countries. Particu- lars as follows:- Nationality
