Judgment for $1,215.98 was awarded against Wong Toug-kee timber merchant, in the Supreme Court yester- day by the Chief Justice (Sir Atholl MacGregor). Wong had been sued by Harry. Wicking & Co. for the amount given.
It was alleged that the money was due on three promissory notes, signed by Wong, who had been in business relations with the plaintiff's compradore, who it was stated in evidence, had since disappeared while owing money to the firm. The notes were payment for a quantity of goods for a rubber, company which failed,
