ANTI-SMUGGLING CAMPAIGN
TRADE ASSOCIATIONS
TAKE ACTION
"BUY NO SMUGGLED
GOODS"
Shanghal, June 19,
A joint statement was issued by forty-two trade associations in Shanghal urging the strengthening of the power of the various trade associations for the prevention of smuggling.
The statement declared that definite actions must be taken by these trade associations to stop their members from having anything to do with the smuggled goods. By so doing, no smug- gled goods can be transported and "sald in the Chinese market. Together with the anti-smugging campaign of “buy no smuggled. goods," this action on the part of the trade associations will deal a heavy blow to the practice of smugging.
