Silver prices dropped yesteday to the extent of 1/8 for Ready and 1/16 for Forward, the quotations being 19 5/8 and 19 11/10 res- pectively. Sliver advices' reported speculators as having sold. The market closed easy with sellers at 1/16 under the quoted rate. America the rate was unchanged at 44 3/4 for Spot.
The London-New York cross- rate higher at 5.02 15/16. The London-New York rate was quoted at 5.05.

Steady with very little business passing in the Inter-Bank market. STERLING
Business was done shortly after the opening at 1/3 13/32 for De- cember
and November followed later by transactions at 1/3 7/16 for June, 1st half July and July. The market closed at 1 p.m. with sellers at 1/3 7/16 June-July. 1/3 13/32 August-October- and
pro- bably November. buyers at 1732 Eigher respectively.
