The French public is looking forward with tense excitement to the statement on the inner political situation, especially on the strike situation, which will be made by the new Premier, Leon Blum, at 12.15 p.m. on Friday.
The public is all the more interested in the declaration of the future policy of the Papular Front Government in view of the almost complete lack of press comment on the new Cabinet. It is generally expected that, above all, measures will be taken In view of the seriousness of the strike situation.

The Association of French Industrialists have addressed letter to the Government declaring that the employers are un able to continue negotiations with the workers in view of the fact that the strike is still spreading and the illegal occupation of factories by workmen is still maintained. The letter expresses the hope that the Government will succeed in bringing about the evacuation of, the factories, so that negotiations can be begun.
