London, May 16. Mrs. Mollison,, who is 32, has had an astonishing career. In January, 1830. then Miss Amy Johnson, she was a clerk in the office at Stag-lane aerodrome. She spent her spare time on the aero- drome, and qualified as a ground engineer-che first woman to do so, but otherwise was unknown.

A few months later the world acclaiming her remarkable solo flight to Australia in a little over 19 days. She was then only 26. D-luck prevented her beating the record set up by Mr. Bert Hinkler.

After a great welcome in Aus- traila and again in England when she returned, she continued her pioneer flying work,, and, in 1931, flew to Toklo and back. The fol- lowing year she flew from London to Cape Town in the record time of 4 days 6 hours, and created another record by Bying back in 7 days, 7 hours, 5 minutes.

In the same year she married Mr. James Mollison, whom she had first met in Australla, where he was a commercial pilot. In 1933 they flew across the Atlantic to- gether in their 'plane Seafarer.

They met with bad weather, and were forced to land owing to petrol shortage after. 39 hours' flying at Bridgeport, Long Island Bound.

Last year, again with her bus- band, she entered for the Jubilee race to Australia. They led the
