Although M. Sarraut's Cabinet is still nominally in office, activity is confined to matters, of momentary urgency, while those that can be postponed are being left over for the new Govern- ment when formed and installed in office.

Meanwhile those who are destined to form the new Cabinet- are making plans to put the programme into effect as soon as they actually have the power in their own hands.
