Chau Pak-san, the father of the deceased gave evidence which was to the effect that the child left home that day for school. The body was Identified at the martu- ary. The girl had good eyesight.

Three child- ren dashed out from behind the tram and the lorry swerved to avoid the two leading bays but by that time the girl had run up and the lorry could not avoid hitting her. The lorry stopped and took the girl to the Hospital.

In answer to a question by Mr. Evans witness said that the driver blew his horn before reaching the tram and before seeing the child- ren.
