Silver prices. were unchanged over the week-end, the quotations remaining at 19 13/16 for Ready and 191 for Forward. Silver ad- vices reported Chma ás having sold. India and speculators bought. There was also some re- seling on the part of speculators. In America the rate was unchang- èd at 441 for Spot.

The London/New · York- Cross- rate was quoted at 4.051. New York/London was quoted at 4.96. MARKET

Steady but dull.

STERLING

No business was reported. There were sellers at 1/3 13/18 for March and 1/33 April/July, buyers at 1/16 higher respectively.

U.S. DOLLARS

A small business was arranged at 32 11/16. for March. The mar- ket closed at 1 pm. with sellers at 321 March/April and 32 9/18 May. buyers at 321 for cash and 32 11/16 Apr/May.
