"In the Singles, R. Chos met and defeated Y. C. Lau by two straight sets the score being 6/2, 8/0. It was rather an easy match for Choa as Lau did not seem to strike that form which he exhibited' in his arst round match, Choa's fore- hand often found Lau standing.

There were no exceptionally long rallies but the sharp bouts of play were featured by some very nice killing shots and volleys, The final score was 3/6, 6/3, 6/3.

The zooming of the seaplanes that were flying over the ground were certainly no inducement to concentration.
