The Harbour Master has issued a notice to mariners to the effect that the master of the British steamer, the B.S. Szechuen has reported having sighted a derelict junk, while he was on his voyage to this port.

Passengers Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). During the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday, the freight returns, received from the Harbour Office show a considerably high tonnage movement, a large proportion of which being made up by Norwe- 'glan ships.

The total tonnage of general the cargo carried by vessels to Colony was 24.500 tons, with Bri- tish steamers carrying 4,493 tons.

Through cargo for ports beyond the Colony amounted to 20.411 tons, of which 7,509 tons werc carried by British steamers,

Astatic deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 am yesterday were 943, of which 883 were from British steamers
