CRUISER RACING
Wins For Azuma And Cutty
(BY ** SHELLBACK ")
On Sunday the Yacht Club had a celebration and staged what, for the present season, is nearly a unique event, a finished Cruiser race. Since the Cruiser racing Started in October last, there has been a stir Force" 5 wind, week after week, from Mon- 'day to Friday; but at week ends all is peace and quiet, without a ripple on the water, and as a result the Four Tonners have failed to complete the course five times and the Cruisers four.

LOOKING FOR MISSING WIND
Hopeful owners with an eye ardently fixed on the Champlon- ship tried to assist by casting round in a general way in all directions, looking for the missing wind. Cutty, however appeared to have a reserve stock stowed away in a locker, since she slipped away from a crowd of yachts and was son, sailing full and bye close hauled on the Por tack to a South South West wind. However, it ap- parently was a very private issue since no one else could even smell and she soon left the fleet look- ing rather foolish to the South of Kau-1-chau, about two miles be- hind her.

A feature of the race which was over a distance of 6 miles. was the splendid performance of Rifle. man R.
