yesterday show a fairly high tonnage movement, a large pro- portion of which being made up by Japanese ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony

Through cargo for parts be- yond the Colony amounted 23,843 tons, of which 7,512 tons were carried by British steamers.

Astaile deck passengers entering into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9 am. yesterday of which 915 were were 1,045. from British steamers.

There were altogether eleven ar- rivals, of which 5 were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the 22. departures, six were British ships, the rest being of other different countries. Particulars as follows:-
