Flooding In Many Parts Of England
London, Feb. 1. Heavy Tails of rain yesterday resulted in flooding in many parts southern of the country. The half of
the England received heaviest falls and further rises in the level of the Thames were re- ported. The estimated rate of
flow of the river was 6,500,000,000 gallons in 24 hours, an increase of 500,000,000 gallons compared with the rate of flow on Thurs- day.
Above Reading the levels show- ed only a slight increase, but be- low Reading the increase was higher. At Wdsor Bridge the river was 2ft. 5in. above normal.
