He may not be able as yet to score as low as he did on that happy occasion, for he has altered his style in the winter months-very much for the better, in my opinion-and he is to be a vastly improved llable golfer in the season to which he has the opportunity of providing a very exciting start.
It is rank speculation to wonder how Cameron will fare ugsinst M'Lean, for winter form is notori- ously fickle, but M'Lean has of lute been playing very frequently at Western Gatles, and very well, tuo. THE STYMIE
I am glad to learn that the United States Golf Association are as jealous as the R. and Aof the rigour of the game, and have re- fused to abollah the style. They have no: even said anything about compromising by abolishing the style when laid by an opponent.
There is one school of thought which favours the retention of the stymie when it is, shall we say.
