Sofla. February 23.

Tense excitement prevails throughout Bulgaria at the out- come of the secret trial of persons accused of complicity in the plet against the Crown. Weltcheft and Major Stancheff, former adjutant to the commander of the Sofa garrison, who were found guilty of or- ganising the revolt in the arm and of attempting to overthrow the Toscheff government, Two'cers were each sentenced to Len years penal servitude and eight of the accused received sentences of eight years each, while one former officer, Captain Lazaroff, who was accused of having acted as courier between the plotters in Belgrade and Soña. was sentenced provisionally to one year in gao".
