London, Feb. 19. The International Tin Commit- tee's reduction of the quota hard- ened prices at the afternoon ses- sion of the London metal market to the extent of one pound ster- Ling.

Traders point out that the "cut" wih not materially affect London's stock position, "which even during the period of so per cent. produc- tion was persistently tight.. On the contrary, the Committee's dim. culty in adjusting the admittedly undersirable narrowness of London supplles is realised, as creased production only results in
