Successful Trials On Clyde

London, Jan. 18.

Highly successful results fol- lowed the trius yesterday of the Clan Macarthur on the Clyde, the vessel setting up a speed which establishes her as the fastest ship in the Cian Line's feet. During the trials over the measured mile at Skelmorlie she maintained a speed of over 17 knots, which is remarkably high for a caren, ves- sel.
