Week-End Shoot

POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS

Owing to the naval range at Stonecutters being required by the Royal Navy on Saturday afternoon, it was found necessary for the week-end shoot of the Hong Kong Ride Association to be postponed until yesterday morning, when an unexpectedly large number of members attended.

Weather conditions were "faar from ideal, for the shooting commenced in rain, "with the result that the light was poor. while many found that the wind, varying in direction from time to time, was anything but easy to cope with. At 600 yards the haze which is so often met with on this particular range was.' much in evidence, and resulted in many scores, which up till then had been good being completely apollt, as regards the aggregate.

We are asked to state that so many applications for indivi- dual full membership have been received during the past week, that no more can be entertained at the old rates of subscrip- tions. All applications received, as from to-day, will - therefore be regarded as at the new rates, which in the case of past and present members of the Services, are exactly double those pre- viously obtained.

We are also asked to make it, known that the issue of the Association's "Bulletin for the current month is being dia- tributed to all' full members to-day.

The leading scores made at the shoot yesterday, held under the usual King's 1st stage conditions, were as follows:-
