INTERPORT SOCCER PROSPECTS
HONG KONG HAS A WELL-BALANCED TEAM
Shorts Of The Sports In The Limelight
(By "PIVOT"}
Now that the Interport Football team has been definitely chosen, all attention will be centred on the game which is to be played in the Northern Port on Chinese New Year's Day. The composition of the team left very litle to be desired, in fact it is.... about one of the best balanced team which Hong Kong has been able to muster for their "annual" battle on the Northern Bold. The Inclusion of the versatile Lee Wai Tong, as the leader of the attack will naturally infuse a botier attacking power in the for- ward line, and the addition of David Leonard on his right will just about give the attack that bit of necessary weight which is so vital in a game of this calibre, especially so when playing away,
THE MERITS OF THE PLAYERS
Talbot whose last display must certainly has caught the eye of the selectors will be a real acquisi- tion in the inside left berth. His cunning scheming and directing power will certainly stand him in sqgd stead,
and with Bickford playing on his left, this pair ought to be able to give the. Shanghat defenders a bit to worry about. The inclusion of B. Gosane on the right outside berth will naturally Granted give rise to comments. that Gosano has not been playing In that position regularly for a long time, there is no denying the fact that he was heads and shoulders above the Chinese crack winger To Kwai Shing on the Jasi
