Peping, November 27. Fengtai 12 miles south of Peiping, is occupied by Japanese troops. "A semi-official-explanation is that the troops are there on manoeuvres set up by the Japanese miktary authorities,

A spokesman stated that the troops had occupled Fengtai to protect communications and prevent the removal southward of the Felping rolling stock. There had been many rumours lately of the concentration of rolling stack in North Honah for the Chinese military forces.

It is learned from reliable sources that the Japanese mil- tary authorities have requested the railway authorities to con- centrate six trains for Japanese use on December 3 from Tientsin to Fengtai The railway authorities are already, complying with this request, but the reason for it remains a mystery.
