The official reason given for their arrival is that they are to participate in marioeuvres with the Japanese Embassy Guard. Their grrival will increase the Japanese military strength here to eight hundred.

Meanwhile rellable Chinese re- ports state that several thousand Japanese troops penetrated Kupel- kow and are, now stationed be- tween Kupelkow and Miyan. MANCHULI CONFERENCE

DOUBLE MURDER

Mystery Of Dismembered Bodies In A Ravine

London, November 26. Sensational allegations were made at.Lancaster Police Court to-day which was crowded when Dr. Buck Ruxton appeared on a charge of murdering his wife, Isabella Ruxton, and Mary Jane Rogerson, twenty-year-old nursemaid employed to attend the three children of the family. The prosecution is calling over a hundred witnesses and the proceedings are expected to last a week.

The Magistrates refused the defence application that the two charges should be taken separately. The prosecution alleged that both murders were committed at Lancaster and stated that, the dismembered remains of the bodles were found in a raving near
