The Fascist Grand Council under the presidency of Signor Mussolini was attended by twenty four members including Air Marshal Balbo, Marchese Marconi and Signor Grandi. It con- cluded shortly after midnight and will be resumed on Monday evening.

A communique says that the Council passed with acclamation a motion on the eve of the application of the so-called sanc- "tions against Italy. It considers that November 18 is a date of ignominy and Inequity in the history of the world and de- nounces sanctions, which were never previously applied,as-a-pro- posal designed to suffoente the Italian people economically and prevent them realising their ideal.
