NOBLE EFFORTS TO

PROMOTE PEACE

(Continued from Page 7.)

Poster Exhibition of yours is an activity in the right direction. "It! is the first effort of its kind in the Colony, perhaps in the whole Far East, and 1 fervently hope that this is but the beginning of many efforts to organise peace on a sure This foundation. and certain Exhibition deserves to be repeated and I heartily congratulats all who entered for the Competition as well as those who have succeeded in it, The organisers, too, merit not only our praise but our thanks. With men and women so keenly dedicat- ed to the cause of peace, we can look optimistically to the future when war wil be ousted from the world as it has been ousted from the family, the tribe, the clan, the province and nation. I hope, therefore, that this Exhibition will greatly strengthen our faith In that charter of international peace and collective, security which we call the Covenant of the League of Nations.
