The wet weather during last Saturday somewhat marred the standard of play.in the Football Leagtes but this was more than compensated on Sunday when the Army and Navy played a brillant drawn game in the Fotewall Cup before a good sized crowd.

The results in the other matches turned out very much as expected. The incolus won a runaway match from the Saints, and in a game in which penalties played a predominant part the Police beat the Club by the odd goal in three.

The Army-Navy clash provided the fans with plenty of thrills. The standard throughout was high and each and every one of the twenty two players who took part in the game excelled at one period or other.
