"The total number of victims of road accidents this year is 4.700 killed and 164,000 injured one casualty every three minutes"
The Minister remarked that had there beeb 20 test all those notorists who had failed would have been driving about the streets, a canger to themselves and others. Had the test been applied to existing as well as new drivers, hundreds of thousands now driving might be off the streets.
EFFECT OF SPEED LIMIT" Regarding the speed Ümit Mr. Hore-Belisha said that during the 28 weeks It had been in operation the number of persons killed in towns where, generally speaking. it was in force had fallen by 22 per cent That was more than twice as much as the percentage m county areas, where it was generally not in force.
London put down 10,000 pedes- trian crossings in the autumn of 1934 and during the last six months there had been a reduc-

I believe in an eternal life of this shed and resurrected blood on earth in all who acknowledge the means of this sacrifice and are prepared to bow themselves down. Therefore, I believe in an eternal God, in an eternal Germany, and in an eternal life.
In a poem read at the service it was declared "We do not pray the old fairy tales to God."
It further repeated-"We do not learn to bow the knee or raise the hands in prayer..... We do not learn to kneel down, and our lips Hap no litany." The poem. con- cluded with the line "We serve His land and art free."
