FORCED LANDING
With the exception of a forced landing at "Rangoon, when the Wheels of the machine sank into
a norass caused by torrential
rains, resulting in the propeller of the main engine being damaged when the plane tipper-over on its nose. The fight from Germany, said the pilot, had been rather un- eventful, the machine behaving splendidly throughout the trip.
Captain Kaspar sald that he was anxxxlous to resume the flight to Shanghai, which he hoped to reach before nightfall. The AP.C. ser- vice tender was soon, on the spot,
and the tanks were refilled within three-quarters of an hour!
The machine with the pilot, (Captain Kaspar a reserve pilot,
and carrying an engineer and a wireless operator left just before 12.30 p.m.
