Kotewall Cup Clash To-morrow

BY "PIVOT"

The surprisingly easy victory of the Fusiliers over, the St. Joseph's College and the heavy scoring in the second division were two of the high spots in 'last week's football encounters. The Junior teams certainly came in for their share of the play especially the Lincolns and the Radio who scored 19 and 9 goals respectively against the University and Kowloon Junior,

St. Joseph's College gave a very disappointing display agalast the Fusiliers and on the day's display needs a lot of po- ishing up if the team intends to go far in the league. There are many weak points to be detected in the Bne up, for in- stance Elmas does not fit in the position at left half and his wanderings" left more work for his back to accomplish. L Souza In the forward line was inclined to over run' whl'e Fer- nandes gave me the impression that he did not know much about the finer points of the game. His rush and kiek tacties were nine times out of ten felled by the Fusiliers defence.

In spite of all, this there arc some really good players in the "gide. The pair of backe. S. Souza and V. Costa ably supported by R. Souza gave a very convincing display and were it not for this department, helped no doubt อน Hussain in the second half the score might had been greater.

in this game in which football of quite a high standard was wit- nessed. The Club was unable to keep up with the pace set earlier in the game and the resolute and methodical way in which the sailors went about their work after being two down changed the whipe trend of play.
