A Hakka, Chan Shing, who is at presen, serving twelve months for a breach of the deportation order, was sentenced to four years hard labour when he pleaded guilty to an indictment of robbery at Shek Wu-hui village. Sheung Shui dis- trict, on September 8,, the com- plainant being Man Sing, who was robbed of Hong Kong and Can- ion money and three tins of.com- densed milk.

Mr. Fraser said that it must be stated in the accused's favour that as soon as he was arrested he ad- mitted everything.
