London, Oct. 17 Fears of a strike in the South Wales coalfled arising out of the local dispute at the Nine Mile Point collery were relieved late last night by the decision of the South Wales Miners' Federation and work is gradually being re- sumed at the affected pits,

A National Delegate Conference of the Miners' Federation of Great Britain met in London to

day to consider what action can be taken to forward the claim for a -national wages agreement and an

increase of wages by two shillings per day. Repcris were made from districts on the progress of the Federation's campaign for a pro- gramme, The Conference meets again to-morrow to receive a re-

commendation from the Executive on future action-
