DIFFERENT COURSES By providing a number of dit ferent courses of training, and by adding additional "courses as and when industry requires them it is hoped that in a few years time there will be in existence a well educated, reliable body of craftsmen on whom employers can draw with the assurance that they are getting man who will combine real craftsmanship with a sumcient knowledge of engineering principles to enable him to tackle any job with genutne titelligence, and to avoid shoddy workmanship in those parts of the work which are "un-

seen.
In conclusion, may I emphasise to employers or labour that Techni- cal Education should be regarded as an integral part of Indiätry; It is hoped that those employers who are interested will make a point of visiting the Schools when they are in operation, and stating what they require of Technical Educa tion either in regard to providing recruits for their own industries or in training their own work peo- ple.
It will be several years before. students who enter in 1935 can be come avällable, but I hope that when the time comes the captains of industry will avail themselves of the services of the trained N.CO's to the production of whom we look forward with every con- ndent.
