Seriously though, what a thing it is to see old Father Sol again. The marrow runs again in my old bones, and I distinctly remember slapping Mrs. Rugglinson in a fit of sheer bonhomie when I saw her last (looking lovelier than ever) in the Hong Kong Hotel. As far as I can remember she made no protest, but then as you know, she may well have been drunk at the time. Poor Mrs. R. she never got over the time when she thought she saw a Thibetan Yak reading a newspaper on Battery Path.
All the same, hope springs anew. Crocuses and 'all that sort of thing, well you know what I mean, which is more than I do. When does the 8.45 start, Station Master?

An experiment currently carried on in a school at Hemel Hempstead is deservedly arousing interest. Tests are being made to find' out whether the educational value of the cinema is increased if students are given an Insight into the critical and technical fundament- als of fim art. Experiments like these which are probably numerous all over Europe and America and in this connection deserve wide publicity, for it is from them that the data are derived which show how the best results may be ob- tained from these new media of education, with the consequent i breaking down of such prejudices

Mr. Justice Blowbellle, when interogated in this point seemed to me to be quite explicit, "Squatter," he said, "and the genus, squatter, is fully dealt with in the case of Rex versus Siggly (1909) when it was decided that Sliggly being â squatter in re situ, and a bailee within the meaning of the Act was, in re facto, no party to the torts of his tenants." Sugar Tax And Dress Reform
(From Our Special Correspondent)
Canton. Aug. 15, Native sugar merchants have petitioned to the Kwangtung Pro- vincial Government for abolishing the registration of sugar because during the period of registration they cannot sell the stock. They pointed out that the intention of the Kwongtung Products Bales Office is to buy the sugar from the oferchants at fixed price.
These merchants consider that such registration is tantamount to a monopoly of native sugar. The petition said that times are bad and thal unemployment, is in- creasing. Sugar dealers are carry ing on with great difficulty, and they have to sell the sugar to the at fixed prices, this trade will suffer.
