JUNIORS LEAD IN SECOND DIVISION

After a week's interference by rain lawn' bowls was once again in full swing on Saturday and practically every clup was engaged during" the week-end.

"

There was nothing in the way of surprises. The most not- able win of the week was that of the Indians over the Civil Servants by two shots." The Indians seem to be living up to their reputation of being a hard team to beat at "home." In view of the Civil Service's good showing of a few weeks back their de- feat was something. In the nature of a surprise to their many supporters.

Recrelo by virtue of their win over the K.C.C, and by the absence of the C,C.C, "A" have 'once again assumed the pre- mier position In the league table.

In the Junior Division the mush fancied Recreio team was unexpectedly defeated by, the K.C.C. by 14 shots. Incidentally all three of their rinks went down to the Cricketers.

The Kowloon Bowling Green inflicted a smashing defeat on the Yacht Club by 41 shots, thereby establishing a two point lead, and with a game in hand are almost sure of the Cham- plonship.

The Japanese started the ball rolling by making 3 runs in the first inning with no reply from the Navy. The second was played with no score on both sides..

The Japanese scored a single on the second inning, to follow it with another single, thereby enhancing their chances of victory. The Navy replied with a single, and a double on the stb. inning..

Making their initial appearance in the local baseball league, the newly formed Canadian team lost to the U.S.S. Mindanao in their encourier on the La Salle ground on Savurday afternoon.
