Sterling Opened with sellers at 2/1 7/16 for near and 2/1 for August re- sulting in business at 2/1 for cash followed by transactions at 2/1 8/18 for August and cash and 2/1 for September. Later busi- ress was done at 2/1} for August and 2/1 11/16 for September and also October. The market then eased off and business was done at 2/19/18 for near and August and 2/14 for cash and August. The market closed at 1 pm with sellers at 2/1 7/16 for July and probably 2/14 for August/Septem- ber, buyers at 2/14 for near and 2/19/16 for second half of Ang-1- ust and probably, September.

U.S. Dollars Transactions were arranged: dur- ing the early part of the mom- ing at 53 and 52 15/16 for Aug- ust delivery. Later the market eased off and offers at 52 were accepted for August and 521 for October. The market closed at 1 p.m. 'with sellers at 52 for July/ August and 522 for September, buyers at higher respectively:
