Mr. W. H. Edmonds, MBE, and Mr. A. Collins, were the guests of a number of friends and workers of the English Methodist Church and the Sailors & Soldiers' Home at a dinner 'held at the Sailors & Soldiers' Home, last evening.

Mr. Edmonds who is leaving the Colony on retirement has been intimately connected with the English Methodist Church in Hong Kong during the whole of his twenty four years service in this Colony. He has been Society Steward to the Church for many years. He has also been a member of the General Com- mittee of the new Sallors & Soldiers' Home since its inception in 1929, where his work as Convener of the Entertainments Sub- Committee has met with unqualified success. "Mr. Edmonds' will long be remembered, particularly in regard to the monthly dances which he and his Sub-Committee organised and for his valued help and advice as a member of the General Committee.

Mr. Collins, who is leaving the Colony on the completion of a second tour of service at the Naval Yard, has also been close- ly associated with the work of the Wanchai Methodist Church. He is also a keen badminton player and has done much towards the founding of the Badminton Club at the Sallors' & Soldiers' Home,
