Malacca, July 7.
Negri Sembilan concluded their
inter-State cricket fixture here by beating Malacca by an innings and

The Negri declared their first innings closed at 181,
Malacea started fairly well, but Sukumaren made havoc among the tall and finished up with the analysis of five for 31, which in cluded the hat trick.
All out for 77, Malacca followed on, but did little better. being all out for 95.
Sukumaren was again the bowler to cause most of the trouble and he captured five wickets for 22. making his total for the match 10 for 53.

The Negri declared at 181 for eight, Salmon was 25 not out in a hard hit, if chancy, innings.
Colville bowled excellently this morning, returning six overs, three wickets, nine runs.

A collapse then followed the last five wickets failing for 19 runs. Sukumaren. in capturing the wickets of Ibrahim, Rogers and Colville with consecutive deliveries performed the hat trick.
Malacca were all out at 3 p.m. for 7.
MALACCA FOLLOW ON
Malacca followed on and Burn- ham and "de Vries again batted brightly. Burnham was caught by Young after scoring 11 (one for 14). James was next to go rup out (two for 33). Cooper was caught by Salmon skying de Stiva
(three for 49).
De Vries sent,up the 50 in 40 minutes.
Rogers was caught behind the wicket (four for 55). Chandrapala was bowled by Sukumaren for two (five for 66); de Vriea was at last bowled by de Silva with a lovely leg break for a well-compiled 44, which included five boundaries, in an hour's stay. (six for 72).
De Silva, with his next delivery bowled Witherby (seven for 72), Kong Yen returned the ball to Sukumaren (eight for 79). "Rod- rigues raised de Silva on, to the pavilion roof to send up 90, but: Ibrahim was then out to a mag- nfäcent one-handed catch by Shields, off Bukumaren (nine for 91)...
Tea was taken with the score

BOBBY JONES'S TRIBUTE
To Miss Wethered

London, June 26. "Miss, Wethered is one of the best players in the world," said Bobby Jones after her magnificent play in an 18 holes exhibition match at Atlanta, Georgia, yester- day.
She and Charles Yates, the US. Inter-collegiate champion, finished all-square with Jones and Miss Dorothy Kirby, a 15-year-old girl player from Georgia, on Jones's home course.
Mies Wethered had three birdies during the outward half which she did in 36, equalling the men's par figures.
