Enforcement Of The New Criminal Code
Shanghai, July 6. The enforcement since last Mon- day of the new Chinese Criminal Code, prohibiting prize drawings by savings institutions, has result ed in the transfer of L'Epargne Franco-Chinoise, 175 Canton Road, to the Central Trust Bureau of the Ministry of Finance.
Under orders from its head office in Pelping, the local branch sus- pended business yesterday for the purpose.of winding up its 'accounts. The Bureau has appointed Mr. Wang Hwa and Mr. Chen, Chung Beng to take byer the administra tion.
